This particular image was created using three of the exact same image shot at different exposures using exposure bracketing. Doing this I was able to bring out more of the sunset colors, and the clearness in the water and still keep the trees in the background silhouetted as I saw them at the time I shot it.

  2. So you are exploring the HDR processing. Such a crucial tool for sunsets, sunrises, anything really that has very different shades of light. (I am jealous) You did a great job with this one!

  3. Yes, I am exploring it. However, apparently I need more space on my hard drive to do it using the HDR converter in PS... so for this one I did it all manually.
